Servier, French pharmaceutical company, supports the surgery cost of one Palestinian child

Bring together Israeli and Palestinian people, through actions in the fields of health and education

In a part of the world torn by long-term conflicts, hope is sometimes the only thing for men to hang on.

When one comes to mention the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, cynicism and skepticism perturb every action towards peace.

Since September 2005, A Heart for Peace, a non-profit association, has been a real humanistic step standing beyond every prejudice.

Nevertheless, causes exist which need a struggle which places itself beyond all kind of conflicts.

Children’s health – no matter their religion or origin – is definitely one of those.

Every year, A Heart for Peace allow at least 50 Palestinian children sick of often fatal congenital cardiomyopathy to undergo surgery free of charge in the department of pediatric cardiology of Israeli Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem. The cost of surgeries is half funded by A Heart for Peace, and half funded by the Hadassah hospital.

A Heart for Peace also works for :

- knowledge and skills transfer by training Palestinian doctors to echocardiography and catheterism.

- prevention by funding the work of a Palestinian genetic counselor who informs Palestinian families about the risks of endogamic marriages.

- development of medical Israeli-Palestinian networks.
